Critical Spaces events: Newcastle, Bristol and Birmingham

Newcastle: 1st March 2013; Bristol and Birmingham: tbc

Critical Spaces will be running pilot events in Newcastle, Bristol and Birmingham this Spring. The events are for socially-engaged artists who want to be part of a hyper-local critical support network.

The events will be collaboratively developed in response to the interests/concerns of the local artists. Artists will come together to engage in dialogue around their work, in a playful and critical way; to improve and strengthen their practice; and form a collective voice.

(The meetings are intentionally lo-fi, to eliminate the need for specialist equipment or facilities, and empower a DIY approach to generating critical discourse and support. As such, there are no costs associated with participation.)

If you describe your art practice as socially-engaged, site-specific, situationist, public, community or outreach then click here to find out more and click here to sign up.
