“Reconnecting public art and the experiences of cultural displacement; new rural design and architecture without right angles.”

A DIY art school, workshops and symposium programme coordinated by the Littoral Arts Trust, independent artists groups, and MA students and recent graduates from art schools around the country.

This year the KSDIY Summer School will focus on:

  1. new approaches to sustainable rural crafts, design and architecture
  2. art, craft and architecture projects that address issues of cultural displacement and diversity in rural England
  3. researching Kurt Schwitters, cultural displacement and the Entartete Kunst, and the role of photographers documenting the narratives of farm barns and marginal farming communities, new work with refugees and asylum seekers in rural England.
