LOKO11: Programme
Under the title Symbols of Soberness - Public Art in Times of Contraction, the sixth edition of LOKO (the national convention of commissioned art professionals) takes place at the Royal Theater in Heerlen on October 13th, 2011. The symposium brings together commissioners, commissioned artists and intermediaries. This year, the subjects relate to the international (particularly European) state of art in the public space. The role of art and artists in fostering urban development and a healthy living environment in regions that are subject to demographic shrinkage, is also discussed.
