Artist Commission for a Climbing Rock

Deadline: February 10, 2010, 5:00 pm

Arc is looking to appoint an Artist to work alongside children from a local primary school to design and carve a ‘Climbing Rock’ which will be erected in Pulman Street Playing Field, Hull, North Humberside, HU3 6LN, as part of a larger development scheme.

The artist will be required to work in a classroom setting and on site at the playing field, and therefore must hold a full and up to date CRB and be able to provide details of public liability insurance. A full risk assessment will be required from the selected Artist before work can commence.

Due to funding restrictions, this project has a very short turnaround – and in these unusual
circumstances the piece of rock will be sourced, transported and installed by Arc - not the selected artist.

To apply, please submit your expression of interest in written form, including;

• A statement about your interest in the project and how your experience is relevant (One side of
A4 maximum)
• Your current CV
• 10 images (maximum) from your current portfolio

Please provide all information in electronic form as all notes of interest will be circulated to the commissioning panel for short listing on CD-ROM.

Unfortunately work cannot be returned.

Please send or e-mail your expression of interest to the following address:
