Call for Applications: Artist Commissions x 3

Somerset Art Works (SAW) is looking to commission 3 new, high impact, site-specific, public artworks for the county of Somerset.

‘Maximum Exposure’ is a new SAW project, offering the opportunity for three artists or makers to be commissioned to make new work between August 2011 and February 2012. Led by a professional curator the project aims to support the development and production of new work in the region, and support the development of artistic practice.

Proposals are invited from artists, makers, or artists groups working in any medium including: sound, film and artists video, photography, and performance and live art, including those wishing to develop new skills in their field through further professional development.

An inclusive budget of 6000GBP is available per commission for the overall development and delivery of the work, with a further 500GBP available for professional development.

The successful artists will have related experience in delivering public art projects on this scale and will be able to demonstrate this through their previous work.

  • A detailed Project Proposal
  • A current CV
  • Supporting Materials
