Walking Distance: Artist opportunity, Dorchester

Ginkgo Projects are working on behalf of Dorset Wildlife Trust, the N3 project steering group and Dorset Design and Heritage Forum to engage a visual artist to deliver site-specific research, a temporary commission and a series of small permanent public art commissions in Dorchester, Dorset.

The aim of the project is to explore and heighten the walking experience for pedestrians in the town centre, and will be delivered through working in partnership with Dorchester Business Improvement District and Dorset County Council Highways team.

The project is part of N3: Nature Network Neighbourhood, a programme of six creative projects focusing on developing innovative creative responses in the public realm in Dorset.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 10th September 2012.
