The Environmental Art Master Plan
Broward County’s Public Art and Design Program is working towards an increasing strategic role for artists based on a contribution to urban design and public amenity, instead of restricting their role to object making in the public realm. A recent example is the Environmental Art Master Plan ‘A Theatre of Regeneration: towards an aesthetic of layers, loops and lenses’, by artist Lorna Jordan, which received an Environmental Design Research Association Planning Award and provides a plan for the provision of quality public open spaces.
