About Ixia
Arts Council England (ACE) has transferred the ownership and management of Public Art Online to ixia, the national public art think tank (www.ixia-info.com). ixia is the national public art think tank. We promote and influence the development and implementation of public art policies, strategies and projects by creating and distributing knowledge to arts and non-arts policy makers and delivery organisations within the public and private sectors, curators, artists and the public.
ixia's current areas of work include:
- Public Art Practice;
- Policy and Strategy;
- The Planning System;
- Education and Health;
- Private Sector Organisations;
- Evaluation; and
- New Writing: including the new Art & the Public Sphere journal.
ixia's aim is to establish Public Art Online as the definitive source of information and knowledge about public art. Jonathan Banks, Chief Executive of ixia, said: 'ixia is delighted to receive Public Art Online from ACE.
